Spresso App Mac INSTALLation Guide

Installing the App

If you receive a warning message indicating that the source of Spresso iVersionIt is an unknown developer, go to the Security & Privacy tab of Systems Preferences and click the Open Anyway button and Open the installer:

The installation program starts up and steps you through installation of the app into the Applications folder. Preferences, resources, and sample files are copied into the user account’s Applications Support/LSM folder.

(Note: FileStormPro is our installer tool)

The First Time Running the App

The first time Spresso iVersionIt is run, you’ll get a warning dialog that you are running the Decaf (free forever) edition:

Click OK.

To keep the app handy, right-click the app icon in the Dock and click Options > Keep in Dock.

There are two ways to run the app whenever the system restarts:

Method 1: Right-click the app icon in the Dock and click Options > Open at Login.

Method 2: Open up Systems Preferences > Users & Groups and add the app to the Login Items list.

Restart macOS and Spresso will be automatically run after the next logon.

Unlocking a Paid License

Keep the download in a safe place!

Quit Spresso iVersionIt and run the unlocker installer for the edition you licensed. (The installer operates just like the app installer but it only copies a special unlocking code file to the app’s Preferences folder.) The next time you run Spresso iVersionIt, click Yes in response to accept the new unlock feature code:

The licensed edition’s features will be enabled and you won’t see the warning dialog when the app starts up again.

Uninstalling the App

To remove the app, there are two things you have to do:

  1. Open the Applications folder and drag the app, Spresso iVersionIt.app, to the trash.
  2. In Finder go to your user’s Application Support folder. Under the LSM subfolder, drag the entire folder, Spresso iVersionIt, to the trash.

That’s all there is to it!

Special Notes: App data, like the default version backup folder (User Data/(iVersionIt Backups/), may need to be copied if the app’s Application Support folder is moved to the trash. If the app was configured to run automatically at login, make sure it is removed from the Login Items list.
